FREEDIE LJUNGBERG RETIRES FROM SOCCER


The former Sweden captain, Halmstads BK, Arsenal, West Ham United, Seattle Sounders FC, Chicago Fire, Celtic, and Shimizu S-Pulse attacking midfielder has retired from playing soccer professionally.














The 35-year-old had an 18-year career in the sport representing Sweden 75 times over a 10-year association. He has won two Premier League titles and three FA Cups between the year 1998 and 2007.




Ljungberg has so much appreciation for the sport and stated that "I am grateful for everything football has given me and all the amazing people I met through my career. "
